I think in the last 2/3 games the bald guy has been worse than the fat guy just and to save us having a 4th different captain in almost as many weeks I would play Cuellar instead of the bald guy on Sat and give the fat guy 1 last chance, but probably replace him with Clark when NRC returns.

when we have NRC and Delph in the centre, Downing and Albrighton on the flanks, with Young playing off Agbonlahor (plus Heskey, Bannan, Fonz on the bench), it looks a good side again... if the defence can be sorted out.

NRC would also bring a bit of leadership on the pitch, which we don't have with Dunne (or Petrov as captain)

With NRC on the pitch he would rattle a few cages, and give a few in the team a verbal kick up the backside. At the minute there is noone in the team who can get the others going.

The best I can say at the moment is that at least its a 3 oclock kick off. The last few home home games all seem to have been early kick off, meaning a 7.30 start for us down in Dorset.

Not to hopeful about the game, but then with Villa you just never know.

Agree.

If we get a fit Albrighton on the right and a hard working Ashley in the middle- down the left and an on form Downing together with a Gabby who's really on fire, we can win.

We really do need 3 points on Saturday though irrespective of who we're playing.

Love to know what the attraction is for Delph. When fit he didn't set the team alight and since then he's been badly injured and isn't going to be back at anything like his best for some time.
Time we might not have.
As Ged reckons he will only be buying a few players I'd guess midfield and another striker will be it, unless Brad is off early.

With Delph, the attraction is that many of us saw glimpses of real talent in the very rare chances O'Neill afforded him last season. We've seen what Bannan is capable of, given a run of games and Delph is, at the very least, on a par with him, ability-wise; arguably has more steel about him.

But yes, Delph won't be the answer to our prayers and we shouldn't expect him to hit the ground running, just as we shouldn't be expecting miracles from Gary Gardner. Considering our chronic midfield situation, it would be great to have both players fit and up to speed though.

A flat-footed keeper, comedy centre halves, kamikaze left back, inexperienced midfield & a forward line that doesn't look capable of scoring - collectivly our confidence is in the gutter and games that should be home bankers are now relegation 6 pointers.

There can only be one outcome.

2-0 to Villa

Shorey has been better than Warnock this season, Odemwingie seems to put his chances away

I was referring to our team!  I have little doubt that Shorey & Odemwingie have been performing better than their Villa counterparts recently.

Edited the attrocious spelling *blush*

Agree with the Delph bit

Fuck me the kid played in what 10 games max, had a very good game against Man Ure but was a bit patchy in the rest - he is a kid learning after all.

However, having come back from a mojor injury he's going to slip straight into the team and do this and that so no pressure.

In reality we have NRC and Petrov to come back, so the back 4 will have more protection but ultimately we aint going to be that much better

A hight tempo perfermance and a fantastic 6-0 win. Then i stop dreaming, 0-1. For the first time in my 29 years on this earth i think and predict a loss!A Dunne og 70 mins.

I think because

Our confidence is shot to pieces
Back 4 are in poor form
Kids in midfield
Strikers couldnt hit a barn door with a banjo
Baggies playing well

We will lose this 3-0

Guzan

Beye    Cuellar Collins    Young.L

Downing Hogg Baker Albrighton

Young
          Agbonlahor
