On the bright side, there are LOADS of grounds in the Championship I haven't been to. Will probably be cheaper too.

I genuinely thought Villa would never be one of those clubs where a dodgy run of form would see everyone pile in to call for the manager's head. But even though that's exactly what's happening, I don't think it's a bad idea, and that's worrying.

There is no way he will be sacked so soon after joining.  He will get this season at least.

There has been a subtle change to the thread title.

Probably not, but the club has all of a sudden got the same feel as during the last days of Graham Turner, Billy McNeill, Graham Taylor Mk2 and DOL.  With that in mind, I'd rather make the hard decision now than when we're staring relegation in the face.

His disrespectful behaviour tonight has eroded a lot of credit he had in the bank. We've still not seen a full strength team remember but his behaviour was a joke.

Tonight was the first time that I've felt that I've missed MoN this season.

I can't get my head around the tactics we're employing right now. Virtually every ball arrives back at the feet of one of our out-of-form defenders, who ping it forward to an isolated striker who is muscled off the ball. The alternative is to work it to a winger, who cuts inside and either runs into two defenders or puts in a ridiculous cross.

Other teams are able to work the ball across the defence and take shots. Other teams are given instructions to fall back into two banks of four when they lose possession. Other teams make short, sensible runs when a throw in is won in order to gain the ball.

It looks remarkably like Houllier earns his money by picking eleven players and then making three changes once we're losing, and nothing else.

please go I have had enough - things couldnt be any worse. We dont have time to be 'in transition' playing pretty football. You and your so called team have dragged us down to a relegation battle. Please leave and take all your scourser scum with you! xx

Co
He looked utterly deflated during  the post match interview.   But perked up (I am sure there was almost a tear in his eye) when the reporter mentioned the Liverpool fans.

All is not well at VP.   I wont be suprised if this was his last match.

Lets hope so!

We can have a go at the players but ultimately it comes down to the manager and for me he has been getting it wrong since he arrived.....no commitment  and passion for this club, its just a job....tactically inept...pisses the players off and I don't think they want to play for him....and now he has pissed off quite a few supporters..... His wave to the fans pissed me off tbf

Martin O'Neill would of walked right over to the fans and apologised for not giving them value for money

Tonight was the first time that I've felt that I've missed MoN this season.

I have to agree with this.  Shite football but seldom a pushover and we look a million miles to the team which won there 3-1 last year.

Houllier has not developed any kind of rapport with the fans to date - something which DOL struggled with.  Both were constantly harping back to the good old days or Leeds and 'Pool.  He really has got a tough job to turn this around now.
