Completely and utterly unrelated to Aston Villa in any way whatsoever; What now for Martin Jol?

apparently he wants some time off from the game. Also, he had no interest in the Newcastle job as he's close to Hughton and wasn't happy about how he was treated. I expect him to resurface next season. I'd expect there will be plenty of suitors.

The thing is, previously, very few decent managers would touch the Newcastle job. Now they've ridiculously sacked Hughton, that will have put off the rest of the ones who might have considered it.

Are we to believe that Jol has not spoken to Newcastle about becoming their manager?

His agent said he wasn't interested because of the Hughton thing.

I wonder if he's planning on taking the rest of the season out and then seeing what options are available.

0%villa- pardew to be new newcastle boss!

bbc and talksport both saying they understand alan pardew has agreed a contract to be new newcastle manager and could be installed by tonight.

this will be a disaster for them and im sure they will now be relegated , apparently there is huge diddent about hughtons sacking among players and fans and alan pardew is really scraping the barrel, what a laughing stock!

apparently he became friendly with ashley in a london casino they both frequent - and we thought we had problems?

Hughton > Pardew

The biggest sideways step since Frank N Furter did the Timewarp.

Isn't Pardew a mate of that flabby fool who owns Newcastle?

It doesn't necessarily condemn then to relegation but this is a massive step in the wrong direction.

Keep up the good work Mr Ashley !

I wonder how many of the shirtless monkeys will be out to welcome the new Messiah?
