We have an awful away record, and the worst form against top half teams out of the whole division. And we're defending like keystone cops. Three nil to them I reckon, but back on track v west brom

Why does everyone seem to think we'll be back on track v West Brom?  They are 8th and clearly better than us at the minute.  Anyway, a heavy defeat in this one is the only likely outcome. 3-0 to Liverpool.

Holtender

I mad this point a week or so a go

Just because its Albion everyone expects 3 points

If they have a good day and we don't they'll stuff us. More worrying is they haven't beat us sijnce about 1984 so they have to be due a win sometime

3-0.

Panic will set in after this one and cue "villa in crisis" forum on Football Focus on Saturday.

Can't say I'm that optimisitic about beating the baggies either.

If heskey is fit I'd be tempted to revert to 4-4-2. It can work wellawY from home where you're trying to be solid and break. Ireland would play right mid.

We are struggling in so many areas right now i'm hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

3-1 to the Dippers and a worrying month ahead.

I'd play Heskey and Gabby tonight. Hopefully Heskey will help us retain posession a bit better.

If Heskey is available, has he played any reserve games?

Sky sports news say Heskey isn't playing. The score, either 2-1 to us, or 5-0 them.

2-0 them, I think were pretty average at moment and the battle will be lost in the middle

I'm watching this one with my Liverpool supporting housemate. We are both terrified actually! He reckons we will stuff them and I am hoping we are still in the game at half time.

Maybe the fact they're having such a  bad season and it's GH's return to Anfield gives us more of a chance? Two Anfield wins on the trot would be nice....

No Gerrard or Carragher for them, Sotoris Carcrash is playing so we'll get chances.

A point will do me. 1-1.

Same with my Liverpool-supporting colleague. Each trying to convince the other that we don't expect anything out of the game

If we had Petrov or NRC we'd win this game, even if they had Gerrard and everyone, we'd win with either of those fit to play in deep midfield with Clark, allowing us to play Bannan and Ireland/Pires further forward. Ah well.
