Hopefully, the footage of the incident will be reviewed by the WMP to identify where the source of the flare came from, and lead to a banning order.

Dont really understand all this eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, bog for a bog nonsense either.
What is it about toilets? Are they considered the enemy base or something?
"Yes!We've only gone and destroyed their toilets! We're on their manor, taking the piss!"

All your bogs are pong of us!

A 'nose contact of mine has jut emailed me with:
"I don’t condone the pitch invasion & hostility, but I think you’ll find it was thrown onto the pitch by the away fans and then returned from whence it came…."
(This was in response to my email to him that said "Good to see you lot have finally brought some flare onto the pitch").

Win or lose that element of nose support would have behaved like that, its their mentality. What would they have done if the thin police line had suddenly parted? Legged it thats what. Why isnt there a net down the left side of the stand to prevent coins lighters being thrown into the away support. The organisation at that ground is piss poor but only to be expected.
If they put a line of police around all sides of the pitch do you seriously expect that to stop hundreds pouring onto the pitch?
Whats with the smashing toilets thing as well, some folk need to grow up.

Does anyone know who started chucking the flare....because ive heard that many stories about it,does anyone know the truth....fecking morons whoever it was...

does it matter, both fans should not be taking these flares into the game in the first place... Hope they are named and banned for life...

Hold on a sec... It was the noses that threw the flares, the villa fans threw them back.  What was the alternative?  Get burnt so as not to seem culpable?

thats fair enough, I understand..  Im just hoping It was....  Hopefully It can be proved... but Villa fans are not all 100% angels ...

Totally agree with you mate, I'm sure you have seen many examples of that too, Blackburn away for example, as have I.  But this was a different scenario and although some of our fans reacted badly it doesn't mean that we are to blame.  When was the last time we ran from the Holte to intimidate the visiting supporters?  Thank the lord we didn't win or else this thread may have taken on an altogether more sinister tone.

The flare was lit and thrown initially from the Villa end. Why the SHA on the pitch threw it into the Kop at one stage I dont know although I think it could have been that Cameron Jerome was still on there.

Hindsight is wonderful, but I have so say, the policing and Stewarding at the Sty is nowhere near as strong as at VP.

500 'extra' police was not enough, and they should surround the pitch at the final whistle.

Sunday lunchtimes work way much better at either ground.

This has to stop now!

The only way is a complete ban on away fans at these fixtures

I might be wrong but I'd guess that its much harder to police the Sty game for the coppers.

Then you'd have another 'Rocky Lane' !

I guess at least that's voluntary hooliganism, so agree, it would work to a degree.

Can't agree with that.  Why should innocent supporters like ourselves have to be punished?

Exactly.  I made my own way to and from the ground last night funnily enough right past the "Zulu's" who didn't give me a second glance with minimal fuss.  Quite why about 300 or so people felt the need to walk together all the way from Aston I don't know but they don't half cause issues for the rest of us. Are people that insecure in their own masculinity that they have to be part of some sort of invading tribe! Pathetic.

Thing is Pauline, do you REALLY like going to the Sty ?

The authorities won't do this, so no need to worry, but it would be a viable solution if applied to games at both grounds

No, I don't really like going to the sty, but I don't want to miss a game either.

Only special people should be allowed to attend. *winky thingy*
