once again general i draw your attention to your words last week 'when fit we have a squad capable of great things'.

Please realise that mr houllier likes a totally different style of passing football to that of mr o neill - to play the houllier way would mean almost a total rebuild of the team and squad and cost huge amounts of money!

Yes , mr houllier can take us higher but if the board are not able to back massive and i mean massive investment financially to totally rebuild and start from almost scratch then houllier does not stand a chance.

Maybe if the money is not there in such huge amounts it would be advisable to come clean and perhaps install mr houllier as director of football  and martin jol as coach and see what he can do with players at his disposal.

mr houllier can get it right but would need lots of time and cash - can randy achieve this? or was mr o neill aware that randy couldnt provide the finace needed anymore .im grateful for what randy has invested but maybe he doesnt have a bottomless pit in the changed financial climate we are now in?

Also im concerned we will always be 2nd best to randys love of the browns , aston villa should be getting all of his attention right now , finally although i like what houllier is trying to do i find his lack of respect to aston villa fans by waving at and thankin only liverpool fans after the game totally and uttterly deplorable!

Your right about him needing lots of cash.

I think your wrong about him being capable of bringing us where we want to be. The extent of his ambition is to get us in the top 8 maybe push for Europe. He doesnt even look as if he has the energy for that. I think last night proves he is happy to be remembered as a "great" Liverpool manager and every week it seems more and more like this job is just something for him to do to pass the time.

Can you please remind me what the criteria was for getting the Villa's managers job, because after last night and the last few performances, I cannot see how Houllier was ever appointed!!

To say at 2-0 down that the game was lost is a disgrace but then to say that he would rather lose to Liverpool 3-0 than any other club is unbelievable, i am just glad that he never managed another club in England because he would probably say that about them as well!! and the club wonders why supporters are staying away in there droves!!

Also is it true that to sack GH would just cost too much money, as I remember reading that he is the highest paid manager in our history

Actions speak louder than words, and action is now what is required by Mr Lerner and the board.

General can you enlighten us on the 5 year plan set out when Mr Lerner purchased the club. We can put up with change of manager, a multi billionaire throwing money at citeh, injuires etc but to have a group of players not showing fight and passion is not acceptable. The fight and passion must start with the manager and his backroom team and we as fans are not seeing this currently.

General, now the unpleasantness is out of the way and forgotten about, may I ask about your Christmas Tree: Real or fake? How tall is it? And how the hell do you find which of the lights is causing the outage?

I have a friend in Boulder, they cut down a huge tree each year and really glam it up. After Christmas they just throw it off the mountain - lights and all. Is this normal in the States? If so, can you stick our manager on the top and shove him off.

Be the best Christmas gift ever.

Once you have done that, get Randy to read Brian Clough's 'Walking on water' book. He's quite good at explaining club owners mistakes when picking managers.

General, do you ever regret the day someone said, "Why don't you go onto some internet forums to see if they would like to ask you some questions?"

Now, about the Villa branded snoods.

General. Lest you are not sure what my colleague is talking about, may I refer you to the Liverpool FC Forum:

http://forums.liverpoolfc.tv/showthread.php?t=216808

which covers this point. A typical extract from this Forum might be:

"I never thought I'd live to see the day when they started wearing snoods. Utterly unbelievable. If it weren't for the need to head the ball, I'd suggest taking their heads off, too."

General does Randy still have a 100% desire to own Aston Villa and see us through these bad times.

i have never, i mean never, been more ashamed of my team and my clubs manager, as i was last night... from the spineless useless cloggers out on the pitch, to the manager practically fornicating over everything red, it was an utter disgrace... i dont want to hear from the main culprits like warnock and dunne telling us all how we need to get better, we can all see that, and those two are two of the main culprits for our pathetic 15 year old schoolgirl defending, i dont want to hear about how houllier can see what we see, if he can, then fucking do something about it and stop wanking over our rivals and talking about them all the time! injuries are not an excuse for what we saw last night, as again, it is the experienced players who are letting down the kids, and a manager who continues to play cowards football...

And your question is?

I know it's hard at the moment, but the title of the thread gives a clue. He's said time and again he can't comment on playing matters.

I accept your point dave about he can't comment on playing matters but the general only last week said ' when fit our squad can achieve great things'- if the board think  that we just need a bit of tinkering then they are in cuckoo land- we are in a mess , we never hear from the chairman and the gates will plummet further if tthis slide continues.

I fully believe houllier has what it takes to sort things but not if the board think our current squad when fit can achieve great things- this is an average squad and the diamond in it was James milner- without him we are very average!

Also I feel general that in the light of the manager waving to Liverpool fans at the end and ignoring his own fans he should be strongly told this is disgusting and disrespectful to the club who employ him.

Are the board happy to see our manager show more passion and desire for a club we were competing with the past few seasons than he has ever displayed for our club? Are they satisfied that he has  as much respect for the fans of his current club as that displayed last night towards those of his former club?

general. i have followed avfc since i was 6, none of my family followed football at all so it was a choice i made all on my own, i have been to around 10 games a season for 21 years, i've seen yorke, collymore and angle score i've seen carboni score the best live goal i have seen live i've seen us win loose and draw but i have never been ashamed of my club, after this years rapid wien fiasco i vowed not to set foot in villa park again until the club repays my blind loyalty with a manager capable and players worthy of the shirt. last night again i was slapped in the face by a manager who some how managed to con randy with his positive spin,
i like many others who are staying away and not buying the new second hand kit need to see positive actions to bring us back home,
you surely have to admit Hou disgraced us last night now im going to put this in another context if Hou was a soldier and was that friendly with the enemy a cort marshall and diss-honorable discharge would be the order of the day. despite the injury crisis and what martin did we have gone from good to below average in months,
Fans are not a disturbance to your work they are the purpose of it. players like irland would do well to remember that.

Now as this is a question and answers thread here goes.
Does the bored have the backbone to put an end to all this now and sack Houlier?..  before we end up playing scunthorpe and doncaster next season,
the best manager for us is out there as a free agent get him in and ship ged out before its too late.

Thanks for reading
