Playing Carew from the start was a mistake.

No movement, no holding the ball up.The 1st goal come from Bannan playing a good ball to a Carew who was at least 1 yd off pace.Get Fonz on, he can't be any worse.

The experienced trio of Young, Collins and Warnock have been utterly appalling. I don't really blame Carew he hasn't seen the ball. Pires was ok when he got the ball, but he can't chase them down.

This is painful. Sort it out Houllier.

Inept and pathetic so far.

Boos at halftime and comments like this are harsh. We're decimated.

Normally i'd agree, but that performance is just not acceptable, injuries or no injuries.

There are still a no of experienced players out there who look like they'd rather be in bed.

I wonder if Ash will be happy to play in the Championship.

We won't get relegated, the others down there are much worse than we are, but we have to accept the fact that we're going to have to fight tooth and nail for every point to avoid a relegation scrap.

Shocking, I haven't seen Villa this bad for a long time. No plan, no passion and no passing. This comes down to managment. Bullshit.
Houllier worries me.
A terrible run that seems to gaining momentum. Mmmmmm......

To be honest this first half has been an embarrassment. Carew and Pires are finished. It is so easy for the Arsenal. Warnock is finished too. Collins is having a nightmare as today as is Luke Young who Arshavin has made a fool of. Downing on the right is a joke. Bannan has looked a youth player unfortunately too.

Fonz for Pires at half time. Arshavin and Nasri gave been superb I must say. 0-2 flatters us I must say.

I guess people will blame Dunne though.

Was going to post something but no need when this sums it up beautifully....

Yes, we've got injuries, etc.

Yes, over the years Arsenal have got a pretty good record at Villa Park.

But I don't think I'm alone at starting to look a little warily both at our coming fixtures and the table as it stands.  The kids may indeed be our future, but not necessarily in a team that at present doesn't really know where the next win is coming from.

So what's going on here?...Nova sports is on in the pub, the ads make it clear this is a Greek channel - half expecting Paul Whitehouse to come on and talk about Orgasmo-Gizmo any second - but we've got Sky/ESPN commentary over the top of it (I recognise the commentator's voice but can't think of his name)...how is this working...

The scariest thing about it is that GH thinks that with the players coming back from injury then he probably won't be signing anybody in January. Relegation is a very real threat on this form.

What was that comment from Houllier that had us all enraged, something about Villa being a 7th-12th type club.....well how ironic that this comment might come back to haunt him....

We have to actually try, that would be a start.

Well, that was just desperate, lackluster & at times amateurish.  Don't mind getting beaten by a better team or even by bad luck but getting turned over with a whimper and no fight is not really acceptable.

Go out 2nd half and show some f*kin pride.

I don't think I can remember a worse performance than what I've seen so far, and there have been a fair few down the years.

He's already said he'll be buying players.

Relegation is a certainty on this form.
