Downing is shocking. Couldn't pass wind. Get Pires on !!!!

Are you actually watching the game?

He's been our only decent player this half.

I agree. Downing has been ok. Far worse players out there for us today to have a go at. Warnock and Ireland for starters, and Hogg's inexperience and frailty showing I'm afraid against a more physical direct team....

Paul Jewel is on the telly. His face looks like Mount Rushmore. So much space, yet so little of it taken up by actual features.

I really dislike Stephen Warnock. He was playing alright too for a change. He gets a whack off Diouf and as per usual takes is down for an age. Then as retaliation a mind numbingly stupid cowardly foul leads to their set piece. Awful goalkeeping from Friedel it must be said but gutless from Warnock. Take your slap and move on.

We played some great stuff early on but everyone is trying the spectacular. Think Hogg has been alright actually Bannan has been poor. Gabby hasn't tried a leg though either. Blackburn are pretty crap, they have nothing but set pieces. I have been pretty happy with Dunne and Clark. We need to stop playing killer passes. Just link it up nice and easy. Downing started great but has died out of it. We need to target Givet as he is muck.

Ireland has been woeful. Warnock dire. Bad mistake from Friedel however has more than enough credit in the bank to be excused. We need to severely change our approach in the second half. Pass the ball make tham work, Young A and Gabby need a little more service. We also need to exploit Downings obvious advantage over Hoilett.

Not really getting the run of the ball so far but Ireland looks off the pace, Gabby isolated. Downing doing well and we've had a couple of decent chances. All is not lost but if they score again then game over.

Get better distribution 2nd half, and AYoung and Ireland to show a bit of bottle, and i think we'll win this one.

Much as Warnock is a dickhead, Friedel should have saved that.

When we get the ball down, we actually look a good team.Don't know which game that bloke is watching who said Downing has been awful.

1st half summary then...

Kids doing their best, old guard letting us down.

Get all the 'superstars' out and whack a load of kids in

So predictable. Worried about a lack of punch up front. Blackburn are horrible to watch aren't they?!

I think we've lost every league game we've gone behind in this season haven't we?

Warnocks been booked seven times already this season.  That is ridiculous.

Gabby isn't moving up front, he's not working their defenders or moving into space.

Ireland is bottling every challenge.

Bannan is finding it tougher against a more physical side.

Warnock has eclipsed his usual level of brainlessness.

Downing and Ashley are working hard, but when we get into decent positions out wide, there is nobody in the middle.

I think Hogg is doing ok, as is Luke Young, Friedel is taking a battering.

This is the first Villa game that I've watched via a P2P stream. I am seriously wondering why the hell I bothered.

2nd half Alan, we can't get any fucking worse.

I agree with most of that apart from I think Bannan has done well and Hogg has been anonymous.
