Holte End Sheep Extravaganza
« on: November 18, 2010, 11:41:48 PM »
Apologies if this has already been mentioned...

What was going on with the bizarre advert on the scoreboard at half-time on Saturday?

It featured a celtic-looking woman running about a field for no particular reason with lots and lots of sheep. A bit like the video to "My Lovely Horse" but with one less lovely horse and lots of extra lovely sheep. Were we just trying to make James Collins feel at home or was it actually supposed to be promoting some product or other?

I thought that but then I noticed all the sheep were clearly too tall to be Bannan.

How come this is only being mentioned now? These are they type of matchday quirks that Legion usually picks up on.

It was one on the most bizarre  half-time spots of "entertainment" we've had down there. It made no sense whatsoever...

It made me get the flock out of my seat for a drink.

I can't see the screen from where I sit in the Upper Holte. Was it on the miniature one?

I'm pretty sure it was a Foster & Allen video.

Have no idea why though.

Baa humbug!

Foster and Allen were presented to the crowd at half-time.  I didn't get why.

Can we claim them as celebrity fans?

They've ben to Villa more times than Prince William and David Cameron.

The other night, i found myself thinking about that and wasnt sure it had really happened or if I'd just imagined it.

I saw a sheepdog so it must have been the half-time round-up.
