Had a holiday there with my mates in 1963, got thrown out of the Stanley Arms for singing. No improvement then.

Blackpool is the toilet of the north. Had to go there a few weeks ago on the way back from the Lakes as the missus wanted to see the illuminations. Thankfully only paid for 2 hours parking, more than long enough. No sooner had we navigated through the endless tarot readers and tattoo parlours to the seafront, than we came across a used johnny in a puddle on the seafront. Nice.

Seems our boy Wills was up in Blackpool today watching the game and checking out stag do locations.

I heard that too.

he could be on a weekender ....Blackpool today, Blackburn tomorrow.

I think it's more likely that One has got his teams mixed up.

...Bury...
there are lots of horrible places

As a resident of the home of the black pudding, or at least the leafy end of the Metropolitan Borough thereof, I'll take exception to that.   By comparison with Blackpool, Bury is quite the most wonderful place to live and work.
