Played with more and more belief as the half went on. Not bad, just need to be a bit more ruthless up front.

Played guys but such a shame we couldn't take a lead into the break. Nothing wrong with the effort but we need to alter the style of play IMV, trust ourselves with playing to feet a bit more with the type of players we have out there. Man U have shown little but they'll be better in the second half. Would be a big shame if we don't win this...

Good half boys long way to go though. Worried about Hogg a couple of times he hasn't tracked back and his man has goalside of him.
Bannon very tidy first half, Luke Young cracking back to his best.

We have Andy Townsend commentating over here far better then Andy Gray!

I enjoyed watching that half. Some shaky moments but a lot of plusses too.

Very good half considering. Even if we lose this the kids have done us proud again.
Absolutely.

I was expecting a mullering (which might still happen).

But they're doing themselves proud.

Is it me or is Andy 'growler' Gray an annoying twat?

It can't have taken you over 10 years of "Super Soccer Saturday Watch us or the World Will Implode!" for you to just realise that.
It hasn't but I am always amazed at my reaction to him.  I should be able to just tune him out like the background noise he really is.

Better than I expected to be fair. Downing looks our most promising threat.

The young lads should be very proud of that first half.  The likes of Collins and Dunne, not so much.

Delfouneso on for Gabby would be my change at half-time. Deserves another run out after his last two games.

I have to say I was really quite impressed with what I saw. Do we lack some quality? Off course we do. But the committment of these players today is unquestioned. GH has asked them to go and play, and they are giving it everything they have. We are watching the birth and development of some really excellent academy players right in front of our eyes, and whether they win, lose or draw today this will be a great experience to call upon down the road.

Barry Bannan gets better with each game. Very composed in the middle and will probably keep his place when the snr lads return

I agree AW, and I also love your moniker btw. What's your favourite track on the album. Mine is 'The Way Young Lovers Do' :-)
