Surprised at the negativity on here. I think we can beat them. In fact I'm confident we can given the fine line between wins and draws for us recently, and their massive injuries. I'll take 2-1

Really? I think we'll get a point but I can't believe anyone thinks not expecting much is being negative.  Here are the home games v that lot in full since our last league home win, in which we've taken a gigantic 5 points from a possible 42.

Does any other PL team have such a bad home record against another PL side?

2009/2010 Aston Villa           1-1   Manchester United
2008/2009 Aston Villa        0-0   Manchester United
2007/2008 Aston Villa        0-2   Manchester United
2007/2008 Aston Villa           1-4   Manchester United
2006/2007 Aston Villa        0-3   Manchester United
2005/2006 Aston Villa        0-2   Manchester United
2004/2005 Aston Villa    0-1   Manchester United
2003/2004 Aston Villa        0-2   Manchester United
2003/2004 Aston Villa           1-2   Manchester United
2002/2003 Aston Villa           0-1   Manchester United
2001/2002 Aston Villa           2-3   Manchester United
2001/2002 Aston Villa           1-1   Manchester United
2000/2001 Aston Villa        0-1   Manchester United
1999/2000 Aston Villa        0-1   Manchester United
1999/2000 Aston Villa        3-0   Manchester United
1998/1999  Aston Villa       1-1   Manchester United
1997/1998 Aston Villa        0-2   Manchester United
1996/1997 Aston Villa        0-0   Manchester United

This is my least favourite game of the season. Year after fucking year, it is pretty much the same story - revolting "Brummie Reds" on their one day out a season, their arrogant wanker away fans, more often than not, our plucky first half then they effortlessly move up a gear and kill us off.

Horrible, horrible, horrible, and this year with the added bonus that it almost certainly won't sell out.

And wasn't the one win in that lot against their youth team in the League Cup?
Just six goals we've scored past them in their last 14 visits.
At least our away record against them makes better reading...

2009/10   Manchester United 0-1  Aston Villa
(Haven't got time to key in the previous 26 OT results)

I understand that our record against them is utter shit. I've lived through that entire list so it's not lost on me. However, given that most of the Man U teams in that list were significantly better than the current side I think we have a real chnace of breaking this miserable run. I'm not stupid enough to say it will be easy. Far from it as whatever they put out will be solid. But they don't have the individual match winners as in past years. That, in my opinon is the break we needed.

Bananaman to showcase his awesome talent by completely running the midfield alongside Clark.

However, it'll all come to nought as A.Young will want to show 'appy 'arry that HE is the star but he'll do nothing but over-hit crosses, drag his shots wide and be a petulant little cock that'll get his billy-big-bollocks sent off on the hour mark leaving the rest of the team to defend a slender one goal lead up until the 98th minute when Berbatov will score 4 times.

I think they are there for the taking, we have been playing some fantastic football in recent games apart form stickin the ball in the onion bag

2-2 with Villa takin the lead twice and the red Sh!te bagging a 95th minute equaliser

Nah, their 12th player would have blown for full time after his 2nd goal.

If Cuellar and Beye are out, does extending Davies' loan make sense?

Really TV? I am usually amazed by the unswerving positivity on here though granted I am a pessimistic sod when it comes to the Villa. I reckon we will lose 2-1 or 1-0 just to stay in character!

So 2-2 is the result of them "being there for the taking" ... that's probably the most negative post on this thread!!

I had a dream last night that we bet them 2-0 but it was played in Old Trafford.

If we get a draw at our place I would be thrilled.

I really hate these fuckers more than a combined team of Dogshitters, Cheslea, Arsenal with gary GLitter as CF

Really hope we can pull something out

Dont see a lot wrong with our play (some defensive cock ups aside) its all about when the chances come, and they will, we need to bury them

Although they are still at the top of the table and the only credible challengers to Chelsea i do feel this season they are the weakest squad i have ever seen of theirs - even if all their unfit players were fit

Dont think we will get a better chance

Anyone know who the ref is ?
