Just heard that Evra and Rafael are out for Saturday's game so it could be a day for Ash, Downing and Albrighton to shine.

Brown and O'Shea will come in, meaning they'll play a flat back four and a deep backline so we're less likely to get in behind. That won't help Gabby getting in one on one situations with Vidic.

Well observed, JJ. This could give us a little more space in midfield, though, so Bannan and Young might get a bit more space creatively.

One way or another, I think this one will be a frustrating defeat, probably an Hernandez goal to nil.

Berbatov will turn Dunne inside out, he's due a goal.

I really can't see us getting anything out of this one if we struggle to beat Blackpools reserves.
0-2

A game where we really needed Stan or NRC in midfield.  Our central midfield is now so lightweight it could even make Carrick look like a decent player on Saturday.  I fear a drubbing.

Being as positive (and realistic) as possible

Villa 1-1 Man Utd
(Delfouneso 90+4)      (Nani 16)

Berbatov will turn Dunne inside out, he's due a goal.

Berbatov is too F***** lazy to turn any defender inside out.

I've had a bizarre feeling we're going to win this convincingly all day.  Maybe it's listening to my work colleagues (one trip to Manchester between all 5 of them) and subsequent wishful thinking?  4-1.

Wouldn't anticipate Gabby to start but you never know with GH -

Obviously few if any options due to long injury list -

Backs to wall stuff I imagine ............would take a 0-0 but
can't see anything but comfortable away victory ( I'm useless at predictions)

They're due a loss, unbeaten this season....

We're due a home win against them, last time was '95 ("you'll win nothing with kids..")...

It's got home win written all over it. (I've almost convinced myself).

Although i've posted my prediction already, I can't see a game at home to blackpool and our performance in that game having any bearing whatsoever on this one.  Completely different states of mind.  We expect to beat Blackpool and so have everything to lose, we expect to lose this one realistically, so the players can go out and have a real go with the pressure off.
