After yesterdays performance, looking at this match from an optimists point of view, I hope Man Utd give up when they take a 2-0 lead after about 15 minutes. That way we can save ourselves from embarrassment.

Hi all, long time reader and infrequent poster to this site i would just like to add my two cents to the upcoming game against Manure.
I have read up previous poster's comments about the upcoming game and feel that some of the pessimism is justifed with regard to our defending in previous games, but on the upside we have been creating and admittedly not taking the majority of our chances,so if this continues with creating opportunities at some stage we will surely start to finish a higher percentage of opportunities.
As for the game,Utd are not as in previous years defensively solid,so that's a reason to be somebit optomistic, the Baggies,Everton and Fulham have scored a minimum of two goals against their defence so that at least fills me with some hope. Also and i know this is a game on it's own merits, but last week wolves had a few good opportunities to take the lead while at 1-1,so that's a sign Utd can be got at.
Also this season their has been alot of surprising results,Blackpool beating L'pool at Anfield and Newcastle beating Arsenal at the Emirates shows that no matter who you are your not invinceable.
What doesn't help is Utd's good record at Villa park, but our result last season at their ground shows we can beat them. Also Utd so far this season are unbeaten, this in a strange way can help us,as they are going to lose at some stage and why not to us and we are long overdue a win against them at our ground,so the optomist in me says this will be a tight game and we will need some luck, but im going for a 1-0 home win! VFA UTV!

Evra, Scholes and Rafael now all likely to be missing for them.  They've got more injuries than we have, perhaps we should make it a five a side game.

9-7 to Villa.

0-2 defeat. They'll completely dominate the midfield.

Totally agree unfortunately

I think they will completely over run us in midfield and basically tear us a new arsehole

2-2

We will cause them problems going forward...they will boss the midfield.

We could surprise ourselves, but I doubt it, what with all the injuries we have.

1-3 Manure

After last night's defensive lapses, and how on earth our lightweight attack is expected to cope with the likes of Vidic,  I can't see anything more likely than 0-4 to them.

Sorry.

Is this the same Vidic who is frightened at the very mention of Gabby?

I think we'll be more than a match for them, they're not as good as they once were and we should be well up for it.

We were relieved to hang on against Blackpool last night.
I fear a stuffing on Saturday.

I think we can get at them and create/score.  But our problem is central midfield as it will be Bannan and Clarke up against whoever they have in there, so our chances of winning that battle are slim.

I've gone for an optomistic draw.
