Houllier just said on sky that nige has ligament damage and will be out for a few weeks , 3 at least.

Bit of both for me.  Our style of play under MON didn't need the type of fitness we're needing to show now with our new pass and move style IMO.

The new training probably doesn't help, although today's injury was clearly one of those impact injuries that can happen at any time. I think that this spate (speight?) of strain injuries, like many other things, is something we're going to have to put up with in the short term for the sake of benefits in the long term.
