"Prepared" for Fulham, the best away trip
« on: November 04, 2010, 10:23:12 PM »
Fulham is my favourite away trip.
That beautiful stadium with the superb Archibald Leitch (the same architect of VP) facade in red bricks, the Cottage itself, the tranquil streets around the ground, the unique location in  the middle of Bishop Park and alongside the river, the nice pubs around Putney Bridge, the walk alongside the river Thames from the tube station to the away End,  and the nice relationships with their decent, loyal, not glory-hunter fans; all these things make Fulham a beautiful day out. The Italian contingent will be present, as usual. . .

And souvenirs will be available near the away turnstiles at reasonable prices.

Fulham is a great away day. £3.80 a pint is not so great.

A bus ride from my house, Nice. Unfortunately I'm at a bloody first birthday party!

I am going to the Bricklayers Arms on Mike Jeffries' advice. Looking forward to the day's drinking a lot more than I am looking forward to the game with us having no strikers!

I am taking my boots, just in case.

I'll be there as well.  First time to Fulham.

Here's hoping for a clean sheet, as I can't see us scoring unfortunately!!!

Beer prices are shocking in London - but there is a Wetherspoons opposite the tube in Putney!

Bricklayer's is a very nice pub, just a bit pricey unfortunatley.

£4.05 in the o2 Academy.

Yep, I paid £4.20 for a pint of Gaymers Cider at Brixton Academy. Suffice to say I only brought one.

Anyway back on topic, Fulham is a fantastic away day. Wish I was going...
