I have a good and bad one. The bad song is Kelly somebody from Destiny Child and Nelly, not a clue what its called but it was played after we lost to Southampton in the league under GT, proper poor game, things looking bad and this piss poor song coming on at full time whistle didnt make it any better.
Good song is New Radicals, Only Get What You Give, Emma B who used to have the saturday afternoon slot on radio 1 is a huge Villa fan and she dedicated it to the Villa and wished em luck for the following days final game of the season at Arsenal. Always loved that tune and think it would be super to have it blasting out before kick off.

Carpenters songs takes me back to sitting in a 3/4 quarter empty witton lane stand as we drifted downwards circa 67/68, just the sort of middle of the road unexciting ballads you needed over the tannoy for 12.000 hardy souls who turned up expecting us to capitulate as usual.
If I ever hear Thin Lizzys Whisky in the Jar it puts me in Shrewsburys ground in 1972 packed full with Villa fans, I think it was the first time I heard it.

"Rocking All Over the World" was played after we beat Bolton on pens in the FA Cup semi at Wembley in 2000, remember that vividly.  "We will rock you" reminds me of my early visits to VP in the early/ mid 90s.

Rocking all over the world was also played at Wembley 96 when we beat Leeds IIRC.

"I'm Still Standing" takes me back to any half time during 83/84 kind of time when I would've been about 8 sitting in the Trinity with my dad.   It's the only Elton John song that doesn't make me violent.

1981 towards the end of the season, beat Middlesborough at Villa Park and at half time the tannoy was playing "Making your mind up" by Bucks Fizz. That song had just won the euro song contest.
