To echo the others, very much appreciated the scores. However, I was late getting into my seat, so can anyone report on the real, important issue? Whether Black Eyed Peas was played?

How about sending the starting 11 via text to everyone on your database as soon as the teamsheets are in?

This is a brilliant idea as that is something I seriously miss now that I cannot see a big screen from my seat. Could you also text the opposition team with squad numbers so that we can try to work out who the hell they are. Thanks!

You could even get someone to sponsor it.

Has anyone mentioned getting the wifi in the park to allow access for the people in the stands? 02 at VP never gets a signal, so would be good to be able to go on and check results etc on your phone!

Not sure i  this comes under Media but perhaps you could pass it on.  My gripe is with the outer colour of the back of the programme this year. Athough you have a box to tick who is playing it is then almost impossible to read. Would it be possible to change the page to white?

Also after today when we had 2 squad players not listed its hard to see whats been written on the claret background.

I might get shot down in flames for this but, anyway, here goes:  I'd simply love to see the old-style wooden scoreboards come back.  The ones where a letter on the board would represent the scoreline from another match.  If we go on to redevelop the North Stand in a traditional "Villa way" then I think bringing these back would go a long way in adding to the uniqueness of the ground.  In fact it would totally make Villa Park stand out as place that champions the old ways of football.

I appreciate this is the twenty-first century, though, and the screens are a source of income and entertainment.

With a little ingenuity maybe we could have both?  Maybe even get some graphic designers to knock up an old-fashioned scoreboard display that can be broadcast up on the big screens?  The genuine article would be preferable, though, for me(!)

I love the idea of a retro scoreboard - but hang on, doesn't that mean I'd have to pay £3 to find out which game's which?

I would love this too. Used to be great fun seeing the Albion and Blues away scores going up, a one would appear for the home team and there would be a cheer then as a zero appeared a few seconds later an even bigger cheer. Football should look more at what retro things there could be, it would make the middle aged and oldies happy. It makes financial sense too, with a more ageing population generally this is going to be reflected in the demographic of those going to games.

I prefer clocks that start at 45.00 then count down to 00.00 rather than the ones that count up.

If the clock has to count upwards, I prefer the second half to be from 46 - 90 rather than start again from 1.

Can you fix the aspect ratio of the existing screen in the stadium?  The output is clearly generated in wide screen and sometimes the edges of the picture is missing.

Also, I don't like the green "The match has finished, please leave the stadium" screen on the concourse plasmas at full time - it always strikes me as a bit unfriendly and "we've taken all the money we can off you, now bugger off".  I'd like to see a live feed of the ground emptying, and the groundsmen doing there bit, with forthcoming fixtures at Villa Park, Thanks for your support. etc superimposed over the top.
