3800 is the maximum league allocation that Blues offer.

If there's any more than 4000 Villa turning up, it would mean the home fans having to arrive at their own ground by coach, so that's probably the reasoning behind it.

I could be wrong but that seems like the Lower section of the Railway as the whole thing holds 6000 and a) they don't want to give us the whole end and b) where would they put the extra 700 which would be (I think ) the 15%

We haven#t got the whole lower tier. Blues are selling tickets in there too.

If it's true we're only getting a pathetic 3,800 then the other option is going in with their lot. If by some miracle either side scores before the penalty shoot-out then it's just a case of sitting tight and laughing (or crying) inwardly. Done it before without a problem... and it's a damn sight easier and safer getting away afterwards too. Not so much fun admittedly but if you want to see the game sometimes sacrifices have to be made. I do stress that this is only an option if you can trust yourself to behave of course.

From Small Heath website...

General Sale
Tickets for this fixture will go on sale from 9am on Wednesday 3 November to both season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders. Season ticket holders will have until close of business on Wednesday 10 November to purchase their own season ticket seat(s) for this fixture, before they are released for general sale. Please note the Kop Ticket Office will be open until 8pm on Wednesday 3 and Wednesday 10 November. To purchase tickets, please call 0844 557 1875 option 2, visit the Kop Ticket Office at St. Andrew's or book online here (from Wednesday 3 November).

How many could we actually sell for this?

A lot of people will be put off by the threat of aggro.

I think a few people may have to do this if need be! Myself included.

Just a suggestion but as those two games we're so cheap, why didn't you just spend £20 and buy a ticket for each game, and not gone to the game. It may not be fair but if thats what you have to do then it's worth it for games like this, you may even have been able to sell them. You should be ok with what you have already. Also the club did announce their ticketing policy at the start of the season.
Good Luck.
What makes you think that? At the minute i don't qualify until Nov 11th at which point it will be a free for all amongst all ST holders for any that are left.

I still think we'll sell around 4,000 easliy... there are enough lads who go to the Villa who will want to go and sorry to say there will be a lot of young 16-18 year old kids who fancy this just to cause some trouble. Funnily enough Villa's sales policy will enable them to do this as it's giving them the chance of tickets before any regular away-goers who happened to miss the CC.

Whenever there's a big game there’s a panic about tickets, Prague, Wembley (my personal favourite H&V panic moments) but most people ended up happy, I don’t qualify until 12th Nov but I’ve not for a second thought I wont be able to get tickets for this. If you really want one you get, If I get a spare I’m giving it to you to prove a point. X

our away tickets dont sell well for the normal league game there, yes we sell are allocation, but not quickly,
it has come down to anyone with a booking history the last few times,

i know this is a cup match, but with a few more tickets and the obvious security problem, i dont see it selling out to smartish,

Make that 2 spare's and you have a deal ;-)

I'm just going off what I've heard and read. A lot of my friends that rarely go away or have never once been to an away game are talking about going to this and there is a big interest from people I've spoken too. Some of these are entitled to buy before myself as they either are a ST holder with BOTH CC games, or crucially will know someone else who has been to both cc games.

I'd love to hear why the allocation is only 3,800.

Absolute disgrace from Villa.

How many of our core away following will have actually been to BOTH carling cup games this year??? I go to 10-15 away games a year and have a season ticket yet because I couldn't make it to the CC fixtures I have to miss out!

How can it be that someone who travels 1000+ miles following villa misses out on an away game yet someone who fancied a couple of cheap tickets for VP in half term week can snap up any remaining tickets.

Pathetic.

These posts always make me laugh...We played two cup games and you couldn't go to either but now its the blues you wanna go and now its the villa who are a disgrace!! Its irrelevant how many games you attend away from home. Cup is different. You know that. Im not a season ticket holder but I feel I should get a ticket for the Blues over you!!

We could have sold thousands more than 3,800 if they went on general sale.

A lot of people would have been enticed by the promise of aggro.

They don't need a ticket for that.

The amount makes me feel the Villa didn't ask for the full amount rather than Blues not offer it. The away team needs to request 15%if they want it. I don't know why the Police would intervine for the sake of an extra 700 tickets. But I'll await the Generals response before I moan about it further.
