Brum council are wankers. They allow 4200 Liverpool, Man Utd etc fans at the sty yet cut our tickets for standing? Every single one of our 3800 fans will stand all game so whats the difference between 3800 of us standing to 4200 of us doing it?

Blues' tickets have been on general sale to anyone aswell, very strange/silly decision as anyone could have tickets in any area of their ground.

Are you happy that because of the persistent standing of you and others, 400 of our supporters will be unable to go to this game?

A bit unfair Dave, rightly or wrongly, everyone stands at away games. It's just one of those things. The last time i think i sat down at an away game was Norwich away under O'Dreary. That was because our stand was on the side of the pitch.

One of those things it might be, but this is the downside of it. You break the rules, you pay the price.

blues fan here ,,our allocation was cut again for last sunday ...but i think its more to do with the old bill than the councill since when have thay got involved with football matters in the ground ive never heard of it in 35 years of going to football matches ,,,,and man utd have there cut at middsboro every season and its known fact its the police that made the judgment to cut it ,,,not boro councill ,,,and man utd got warned before thay cut there allocation if thay did it again it would be cut ,,thay stood up so thay cut it by half ,,,blues had no warning about the threat of cutting or allocation at all ....and i dare say either was villa ? so whys it happend as i find it unfair

It'll never go away though will it? Can you imagine our lot sitting down in the away end at Blues in a few weeks time? I'll be standing up at Fulham no doubt on Saturday. Are the council just cutting the allocation because they can? Other than ban away fans completely, it's a fight they're not going to win surely?

Local council licence all football grounds, including the capacity of all areas therein.

They have the rules on their side, so they can do what they want. Maybe if the stand up sit down, or whatever they're called, lot weren't so arsey - as we've seen whenever they put their point on here - the problem miught have been solved by now.

We don't sit down anywhere, it’s just a case that some councils see it as an issue while others don't. The health and safety argument is a complete nonsense, but as has been said, they have the rules on their side so it doesn’t matter.

Which is what i hinted to Dave earlier. Are they just cutting allocations because they have the power to? Celebrating a goal is more of an health and safety issue than standing up.

That’s the point that makes their arguments redundant from a logical position. Standing still on some concrete is no more hazardous a past time as sitting down on a bit of plastic. When you score, the result is the same, you jump up and potentially move about.

From a legal point of view, there’s no argument. What makes Birmingham City Council different to the local authorities that Old Trafford or Anfield are in is unknown.

Unfortunately, there isn't a safety committee or government that will take the risk of Another Hillsborough. And yes, I know that wasn't down to terracing.

I'd always thought Sky and Money would be the death of me going to football not some jobsworth Health and Safety rep from the local council.

Canal! That gives me an idea but we'll need VSM to navigate round all the trolleys.

You have no choice at away games other than to stand - how can you watch the game sitting down when you've got people standing up infront of you?

Besides, it doesn't matter if they stupid council/police cut our allocation, atleast we'll be able to sell-out our allocation as usual unlike small heath who had lots of empty claret seats in the Upper Doug Ellis last sunday despite having their allocation cut. What a joke.
