Same team as jj av for me, although against Chelsea Downing played right side and Ash left, i think I'd prefer Ash on the right for this one to terrorise Ridgewell.  If Carew was in any sort of form I'd consider him over Sidwell or Ireland, but he's not. GH likes Ash off Heskey so there is a chance he could do this with Bannan left and Downing right, maybe if Banna had played better the other night this would have been more likely.  I'm sure Albrighton would have started if available.  We can't afford to carry two of our central midfielders so at least one of Ireland or Sidwell needs a really good game for us to win.  I think Ireland will and we'll sneak it 2-1, Ash with both, Ferguson for them.

I think we'll win 1-0.

Heskey to get an early goal and we'll just about hang on in there.

Friedel

Beye
Dunne
Cuellar
Warnock

Young
Sidwell
NRC
Ireland
Downing

Heskey

Young or Ireland to play wide right/behind striker and maybe swap roles during the game?

0-0. Both struggling for goals, they'll come for a draw and get it...
Would have gone for 1-0 Gabby 88th minute if he was playing...

Im going for 1-1 if we didnt have so many injuries i would have gone for the win gutted Albrighton is out would have made a difference even if he didnt start.

I dont usually get that much involved in giving players stick but for that knob head Carr Ill make the exception. What is it with Blues signing players everyone hates? talking of Robbie savage noticed hes already started having a go at Dublin!

Cant hide away from the fact that it will be another scrappy derby game, but need to focus on what is really important and what we really need...3 points.

2-1 Villa (Heskey, Ireland)

Zigic will score.

Whoever their latest laughable striker is always does against us.

I think that's what he will do, he'll have to play his strongest line up bearing in mind the players we have out. I hope he gives Fonz a run out at some point. He could be our Gabby for the day.

Are people seriously putting Collins in their ideal starting line-up? Bloody hell.

I would pitch Collins in at the sharp end if we are struggling to score - getting on the end of crosses from Ashley and Downing both left and right . Am I right in thinking he started off as a striker?

BBC are saying Beye is out but Luke Young will be available.

Is that right?

He's a doubt with ankle injury according to OS

Looks like Cuellar in there then, which might work in our favour.

Lichaj is a better right back than Cuellar surely?  But with Luke Young fit he must get the start.  Carew is fit too, so he'll be on the bench.
