Bit harsh.

What we need is the club to play some Bob Marley -

You know when the London press go on about English fans being the best in the world?

Well, that's an absolute load of b*ll*cks, isn't it?

I know they engaged in some Blues style bog smashing, but I thought the Ajax fans were the best I've seen at Villa Park for ages (wasn't at either Rapid games, though).

They seemed to sing this for ages:

Am I missing something, whats so great about that clip?

About 25,000 Ajax fans singing Bob Marley.

I loved that - I have been visiting Holland for over 30 years and I can confirm the Dutch know how to have a good time - we always spend new year there - its a blast

I love that. I remember it going on for 10/15 minutes non-stop... it was ingrained in my brain for such a long time and felt like joining in, even when I got back home I couldn't stop singing it haha. That Ajax game was great.

Remember the good  old days when a Villa chant would go on for ages. Going quieter at times before building in noise again but never quite stopping? Almost like thunder rolling in and out, if that makes sense.

As the Green Brigade seem to be all over the Brigada 1874 site and links seem forged between you, what are your thoughts on the poppy banners they had?

So is that no condemnation from Brigada 1874 then?

They're not apologists for what celtic fans do or don't do. I know one or two Celtic fans and I'm not fussed if they don't officially condemn anything.

On another note I heard 2 or 3 new songs on Saturday that seemed to be designed to breathe new life into old songs sung. Although in saying that the Nigel Spink, rolls the ball to Platty...got an airing. As did the Bells are Ringing. (The latter good, the former? meh.)

There wasthe Deoeche Mode - 'Just Can't Get Enough' with the instrumental bit being the hook for us all to join in on. Also to the tune of Macarena was a surprisingly great Barry Bannan song - 'Who needs Barry when you get Barry Bannan? (x3) Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Barry Bannan. And shoes off if you love Villa is surely going to catch on everywhere from Craven Cottage to St Geordie Park to George Bush conferences in Iraq.
