he's a quality player, great feet(both of em)good pace,he's fit and can take getting 2 good kicks(fouls) a match as he strips another fullback.
Managers like all of the above
If rooney wants silly money despite being in a shit vein of form(class being permanent and all that)
then Ash wants big money as well-we traditionally don't pay massive wages and Randy wants to keep wages under control

So he will be off-(night follows day)
But we have Albrighton Ireland and Bannan and Downing
So I'm not too worried about the future

I am not convimced he will be leaving us and his performances have not been of the level they were a couple of seasons back so I can't see the most succesful clubs in the world lining up to sign him.

I do hope he sits down with GH and says ' ffs Gez, I need some quality strikers to play alongside me, if I keep playing with Carew and Heskey, what's the point of putting crosses in ?'

To which Gez will say, "So you want to play with a 15 foot striker who will actually have a chance of getting to most of your crosses?"

He's been here 4 years, that's a decent stint. Wouldn't be surprised if he fancied a move.

He hasn't performed consistently for a while anyway.

They always seem to get tapped up when they have been away with England..

For me, it's more the case that they just get more arrogant and develop delusions of grandeur when they called up for the national team. So far as I'm concerned I'm sick ofthe attitude of these professional footballers. A. Young can fook off, it doesn't matter to me who plays for the Villa nowadays, the idolation of these crass, self-obsessed, greedy idiots is symptomatic of all thats wrong with the game.

As Fergie said...

"Cows, don't you just love 'em"

or something like that.

What's the difference between a buffalo and a bison?

Dunno, go and wash you hands in some milk.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves eh?

Why cant it be just as he said and that he'll leave contract negotiation until next summer?
Its fine by me. Theres no rush and if at the end of it all he wants out, fine.
I really hope he stays though.
He puts in plenty of effort and is a class player, one of our best in recent times.
Some of the criticism lately from Villa fans has been a disgrace to be honest.

Very true.

I do think his head's been turned, but I don't blame him. If anything, it sums up modern football (again), which is becoming quite tiresome.

I'd do the same if I was in his position. See how we get on this season and have a look at where we have finished. He'll be in a much stronger position if he has a good season, get a better deal with us or we will cash in on him and move on.

Not the end of the world either way, and if our next young winger is as good as albrighton I would be quite happy.

Not fussed at all to be honest. All the fuss that was made when we lost Barry & Milner. Mon walked out, and we're sitting a couple of points off champs league place in a 'transitional' period. Young spends 70% of matches on his backside and constantly tries to turn players inside out, then inevitably fails. The majority of his crosses end up out of play. As has been said, 2 years ago he was on top form, now...I really can't say that he adds that much, other than pace.

Let him go with a shrug of the shoulders.
