I work for The Book People and we got this in yesterday, it's been selling pretty well. I read it from cover to cover yesterday, and I have to say it's a bloody good read, even if it does let David Platt get away with forgetting he ever played for us....

I did notice that it is pretty big for a pocket book; you would need pretty deep pockets to be able to fit it in.....any input Dave?

2 books have come out recently that should be on your "must have" list: Dave's "Pocket Book of Aston Villa" and the update of the "Complete History of Aston Villa". Very different from one another, but both are handsomely produced, informative and full of interest. Highly recommended!

Is this a lazy amalgamation of previous tomes by the author - the (very fine) Aston Villa Miscellany and the Little Book of Aston Villa?

Can I have a look at one, flick through it for a few minutes, and put it back if I don't fancy it?

It is a book. Not a woman.
