That's my Dad's Christmas present sorted. He can have my ticket.

Cheers Sky!

Being a non driver, I have no idea how i'll get to the Boxing day game, regardless of kick off time.

It's long sodding walk from B32 to B6!
Is there no one that does car share in your area Peter? I know its not the point but it would lessen the pain. Yes I agree the boxing day timing is a mare i never want to eat after getting home from those strange kick off times. So the whole family suffers.

Unfortunately, I know no one from round here who drives. Anyone I used to go to the game with either uses buses/trains, lives the other side of the city, or don't go anymore.

So I'll either
A) pray there is some half decent form of public transport on the day.
B) Do a begging post nearer the time and see if anyone drives from around here (or passes Frankley service station) and would be kind enough to give me a lift.
or C) Bugger off out of Brum and to some friends for a few days like I usually do over Xmas and watch it on the TV. And give my ST to someone who drives for that game.

I go to about 3 to 5 away games a season, this year I had Stoke at #1 priority and Liverpool were #3.  The bastards have done it to me again.  I can't even get a train back to Brum and stop with family let alone get back to Leicester and I'd have to take a half day's holiday just to get there.

There's only one 3 o'clock Saturday home game in the next three months - and that's against West Bromwich soddin' Albion, so Sky'll probably move that as well.

Thanks Sky tv - you absolute wankers. That is me severly in the doghouse with the Missus now on Boxing Day.

You're not the only one mate. I'll get an ear bending from the other half, to the point I may consider giving my ticket away.

Bit annoyed about the Liverpool one as I wanted to take my son this year and now its a school night!  Not bothered about Spurs or Chelsea.

I am in the same situation - he now wants to go to chelsea !

I've just, out of interest, checked on the Trainline website to see if I would be able to get to the Spurs game. It would be a long day!

Depart Huddersfield 07.35 Arrive Euston 14.53 (7 hours 18 minutes).

Depart St Pancras 20.30 Arrive Huddersfield 05.27 (8 hours 57 minutes)

For the 380 mile round trip, that averages at 23mph! I reckon I know people who could do it faster by pushbike.

That's a corker of a post considering we played Spurs away at the weekend duhhhhh. (wink)

I can't believe WM police won't move the Baggies game to a midday kick off. Would be nice for them to let us know then.

The home game is a nitemare......5.30pm ko on Boxing day, there will be no public transport

I might have dreamt this, but I'm sure there was (for the first time in years) public transport last Boxing Day.

Every Cloud and all that.

That for me is a shitter... I like matches on Saturdays and 3PM is just about the most convenient kickoff time for me in terms of travel. I was hoping to get down once between now and the end of the year.

There was a very, very limited Bus service with buses every hour only on the main routes but that stopped about 5.00/6.00pm
