Completely clueless upfront (as we have been for a long time).

other than 2 defensive aberrations by Dunne and Carew's ineptness, I take encouragement from the overall performance.

Still wracked off mind.

We have a lot to work with and have the potential to progress. But we are playing catch up to the likes of Spurs.

I seriously doubt Carew will last that long...

Carew gives us nothing these days. Definitely time to move him on.

We're always going to struggle when we have a spine of:

Overweight Dunne
Over the hill Petrov
Overated Carew.

Houllier better know how to buy players in January. It comes to something when we're licking our wounds about the loss of Heskey due to injury.

Carew needs to go.
Sadly but definitely.

If Heskey had stayed on then I honestly believe we'd have got something from this.

A fit Gabby coming on for Heskey would have been such a different matter.

NRC has been brilliant I think. Let's not get too down about this. We know Spurs are a better team than us, with a brilliant home record. I think we've looked very dangerous for spells today, and we've played some good stuff.

Definite improvements to be made, but Delph, Gabby coming back will give us new options. And Albrighton will only get better.

We're now in a position where we're a goal down, the clock is ticking, and we're wastefully looping balls up in the air. Sorry, it's not good enough. It's fucking pathetic.

I can't say as we deserved anything more from the game.

Amazingly lucky that heskey's been in the form he has so far this year - otherwise we'd be fucked up front.
