I hate Spurs way more than City.

I hate them with a passion I have seldom known.

I hate Harry Redknapp more than any other manager. I hate his droopy face

I hate spurs fans. No matter where in the country they come from or their social status, they sound like common people from Essex.

I hate that stupid shelf end of their ground.

I hate when you go to WHL the stewards throw you out if you even slightly think about standing up, while their muppet, ben sherman wearing fans stand on their charis and dance. I also think it is the most disgusting area of any ground ever.

I hate they way all their players seem to shave their eyebrows.

I hate chaz and dave

I hate Jamie Redknapp

Their mascot is a cock

F Spurs, F their fans, just F them

Can we have a banner made up with this printed on it?

I have always hated them more than any other London club and they're probably only behind Manure, Blose and possibly Leeds on the 'Hate Spectrum' (that I've just made up).

The fact that the media have always over-hyped them is one of the reasons. They had terrible players in the 1990s that would always get into the England side due to playing for Spurs. They were continually in mid-table and were still talked as one of the big sides, even though we'd finish higher year on year and weren't.

Add to that this season, when I can throw in jealousy because they actually do have a bloody good team and are in the Champion's League (also known as the passage to mega-bucks).

Talk of them getting a 60k stadium paid for by the tax-payer doesn't help either.

For a club that is smaller than us, has less history than us, we sure do seem to talk about them a lot.

I wonder if they talk about us as much?

Everyone else talks about them more. This annoys us, as our rightful place in football is consistently overlooked in favour of a club that, as Billy Walker says a little way back, would barely exist without us. We are not jealous, we are annoyed.

So because we played a few friendlies against them more than a century ago, they, and the media, should still be showing reverence to us?

Just because we know our clubs history and the importance of our club 100+ years ago, doesn't mean that much in todays game. That may be something that fucks me off no end, but it's not the fault of clubs like Spurs, more the fault of Sky, the PL, us for being so poor at promoting and marketing ourselves for the past god knows how many decades, and modern football in general.

But for people to say a club with 17 major honours (compared to our 20), a club that has won more trophies than us in the last 50 years, to be the small heath of the south etc, then it strikes me as more than mere annoyance.

And I dislike the feckers a lot, but I despise modern football much much more.

In fairness we were seen as a big side then, tipped for the title a few times (largely as outsiders). Can't remember the last time Spurs were tipped for the league. Even the talentless old bloaters on Fleet Street knew they couldn't get away with that kind of fabrication.

Their ground is a shithole.

Their stewards are arseholes.

Their fans are arseholes.

Harry Redknob is an arsehole.

The thing is, I work with 5 Spurs fans, I like them all and their not cocks. I don't outright hate them, it's been a slow undercurrent of loathing building up since the mid 90's. I had no problem with the Gerry Francis/Christian Gross era's, I think it's when their managerial choices went a bit more ambitious (the word ambitious is not used here in accepted sense). They thought Georgie 'Brown envelope' Graham would replicate his early Arsenal success and the later success he had building a good, young team at Leeds, they thought faith Heeler Hoddle would do the job, bringing his maestro like midfield performances to the way they played after he went a little bit naughty as the England manager. When they got World cup and European cup winning Jaques Santini they thought they had it made. The media believed the hype like their fans and never delivered, now it's the same with 'last great English manager' honest 'arry. Having Harry makes me hate them more, I found my hate subsided somewhat under the Martin Jol days because he seemed such an affable chap.

Something just happened in the mid 90's. We were evenly matched on paper, the same kind of exposure and fan base though our history was better but there was this creeping Spurs trend in the media.

On the most part the Spurs fans I know are assholes. When it's going well they swagger around like they're shit doesn't stink. And when it doesn't go well it's doom and gloom of the highest order, as if because they're Spurs, they've a god given right for unadulterated success. Mostly cocky twats in my own experience. I have one mate who's a Spurs fan, but we don't particularly talk much about football, which probably benefits our friendship. Listening to Spurs fans talk about football is one of life's incessant bores.

A more deluded set of fans, you'd struggle to find to be honest.

I used to enjoy watching them play in the 90's, because they had some cracking individual talents worth watching. Klinsmann, Ginola, Postiga (tee-hee). But now, they just seem like a dodgy bunch of gangsters, working for their dodgy gangster manager. Fucking assholes!
