Heskey is providing an outlet, the ball gets up to him and he's either winning it in the air or laying it off.

Ash looks like he can cut through them at anytime and young Albrighton has been our biggest  threat. So much so that Boxhead has pulled off the fullback already.

Still a lot of life left in this game though.

Wolves are well in it, despite not playing particularly well. A goal to them and you feel they might be hard to contain. A goal to us though and we could run out comfortable winners.

Forced sub through injury although he might have thought the player was being ripped to ribbons when fit, carrying a knock he had no chance.

Shame for Matt Murray. Was very promising when he first broke through. Unlucky to have to retire so young, especially for a keeper. Good luck to him, even being a Wolf.

We have to get a grip in midfield, Petrov being particularly anonymous as usual. I can see them getting one back, otherwise, and that'll be hard to come back from as we're far too wasteful going forward. Still, cracking goal, and we have options from the bench now that O'Pram-emptier has toddled off.

Carlos seems to everywhere. Reads the game so well.

Yep. He's a quality player. In all fairness he was very unlucky not to be a first choice at CH last season, if not for a very impressive partnership of Collins and Dunne. I think some have forgotten after seeing him so often played out of position.

In my opinion I think he's actually the best CB we have in all honesty.

That was the opinion most people I know had.  It was stupid to play him at right back.

Apart from anything else, Heskey's quite clever with his hold up play, and in return Ash can read it. I think at times previous, Heskey and Carew have struggled to play with Gabby, because he's not really got a football brain, and doesn't read the knock downs. Ash will get a lot of joy in the middle playing with one of the big men (or at least if Carew regains some form/enthusiasm, but till then Heskey is doing fine).

Good first have, fantastic cross from Super Marc and Downing right place right time again. Friedel making an amazing double save. Need a second though, if we get the second we could put 3 or 4 past these.

I think with Coker in the team we can afford to play Ireland in the middle next to him. He'll be allowed some freedom to instigate play. He's not really a centre mid playmaker, but could become one. His game may have to alter slightly with Ash playing like this in his position.
But yes, Stan is a passenger right now.

If not Ireland, might be worth bringing on Sidwell to help look after the backline.

Much better balance now reo coker and luke are in the side, heskey is playing far better and we have options in Ireland and gabby on the bench - much rosier outlook in my opinion now o neill with his same selections and same plan has gone- the futures bright- the futures GED.

Matt Murray, the Wolves keeper has had to retire through injury, I think some of the old players were giving him a bit of a send off.
