Roker Park, 1920's facilities, surrounded by friendly pubs. Stadium O L is ok but you can't talk to anyone over the wall whilst your'e having a jimmy!
All of them - they all had character. I can't think of one new ground that I enjoy going to more than that club's previous ground. The old Wembley was a shithole for a long time before it was knocked down but even then it had far more magic about it than what they've put in it's place. And a much better atmosphere. As for league grounds Maine Road and Highbury were special places and The Baseball Ground was pretty unique. Who remembers the Boxing Day game there when we first came up in 75-76 - Villa everywhere, and not a inch to spare as about 35,000 squeezed in. Derby were reigning champions then if I remember right. But what about grounds that are still in use but have changed beyond all recognition? Old Trafford was much better in the 70s and 80s than it is now, and standing in Liverpool's old Anny Road end, packed in like sardines and looking across at the old Kop swaying is a memory I hope I never lose. Even though they always seemed to beat us 3-0!
Always found the baseball ground interesting - that 3 tiered end behind the goal. Also remember getting crushed there once as well, not long after Hillsbrough.
