Sounds like a Heskey assist for the third, so fair play. Well done Emile.
Very early days, but IF GH can get him playing anywhere near the level he did when he managed him previously, [old cliche alert] then it'll be like another signing.

I hope United get drawn against Arsenal. Wouldn't mind a final against Newcastle.

Final against Northampton would be better.

The evening suddenly takes a very nice turn! We go 3-1 up, City go 2-1 down at the Albion and Northampton equalise at the Bindippers. There is a god after all...

If results stay like this we're the best side left in it. I'd fancy us to beat Arsenal's or Man Utd's likely teams.

Chelsea, Citeh, Spurs, Everton and ourselves would be the favourites. Of those only us are remaining as things stand.

A bit of organisation and some decisive action goes a long way. The difference of having a proper manager! No offence to Kev given he was plopped in the deep end, gut we'd be losing if he was in charge. Hell, even O Neill, was never one for inspiring substitutions.

Looks like it'll be a cracking start for Gerard.

Is it me or do we seem to keep the ball a lot better and have a higher possession percentage since MON has left?

No. I definitely see it too.

Strange because this season last three matches possessions stats according to BBC.

Bolton 44 - 56 Aston Villa
Stoke 50 - 50 Aston Villa
Everton 59 - 41 Aston Villa

Compared to Last Seasons corresponding fixtures.

Bolton 40 - 60 Aston Villa
Stoke 43 -57 Aston Villa
Everton 50 -50 Aston Villa

Anyway, Onwards and upwards with Houlliers C and B army.
