I'm sorry, I know this happens to a high percentage of managers but how can a man who did so well with a club like Villa have sunk so low in management? All I have seen from Little is a steady decline over the years - surely he couldn't have been that bad a manager?

I've always wondered that.  Has anyone else noticed how managers of our club (recent times anyway) never go on to do anything else of note?

I was extremely surprised he went into management at all - as a player despite being a class act he was one of the most laid back almost laziest of characters at time - however when he performed he was brilliant.
Always struck me as shy, which isnt the best character trait to have as a football manager.
I wish him well -I didn`t attend his Testamonial but sent him the entrance money nevertheless - he replied to me in a personal letter and enclosed a signed programme - a gent

Sir Brian, JG and Evans were a partnership, or a triumvirate.

It was never as good for any of them when they went their separate ways.

We are a bit of a grave yard for managers aren't we.  Every manager I have watched has gone downhill after the Villa:

BFR, Little, Gregory and O'Leary.  Watch this space with MON...

Taylor was a bit before my time, but even after the initial "elevation" to England Manager he did not get back to the same status level (he hard the first time round).

Back on topic, in Mr H's reshuffle of coaches, or if K-Mac leaves, I would love to see a role for Little back at Villa.  I think a spot slightly out of the limelight would be perfect for his character and skill-set.
