31st October - Double Header for Villa and NFL fan
« on: September 16, 2010, 10:57:09 PM »
I Checked fixture list and NFL Wembley match.

Spotted Aston Villa V Small Heath at 12.00 then American football Wembley at 5.00pm at the same day between San Francisco 49ers V Denver Broncos.

I normally travel on Snow Hill train to Wembley direct but obviously with 3 hours margain it will be too tight.

Any suggestion on travel plans as I could drive to somewhere outside London then catch a tube or short train as long parking is free.

I've already decided to forego the stress of the Blues game and mad dash to Wembley and have sold my Villa ticket thro' Viagogo.

Villa v Blues is never a pleasureable afternoon, so I'm not that disappointed.

The alternative to going all the way by train is to pick up the Chiltern line at somewhere like High Wycombe.

I did this with a friend for the Villa v Mankchester cup final a few years ago.  I can't remember the kick off time but we left the car at Wycombe and got the train.  Coming back we were in Solihull in time for a 7.30 face of to watch the Solihull Barons.

Hope this helps.
