I've been underwhelmed by the performance of our youngsters out on loan. Weimann and fonz are very young, and at least fonz is starting, but they're not scoring. I really fear that after the initial 'i told you so' reaction to bannan's first couple of games he's not going to have the physique to make an impact week in week out. I've never thought Hogg would make it.

Of the other kids, albrighton should be a regular again next year, but needs to improve his passing and tactical awareness. I think the really interesting ones are delph and Clark. Both should be trying to make themselves a regular next season. I think they're both 21 now? Clark is very talented bit needs to improve his ability to fight against physical players where he often gets outmuscled. Delph looks very good on patches and has all the attributes, but can be tactically poor so gets bypassed. Needs more games than he's had over the last 2 years.

Danger is they get sucked down a level then fade into obscurity see Ozzy
Weimann only got the last 18 mins and banana lasted until 72 mins
Fonz not mentioned in the match report yet he played the full 90
Where did Hogg go ?

Dont be over concerned with the results. For instance, Gabby went on loan a couple of times in lower leagues and did nothing, yet came back and made a name for himself in the Premier League. It's all about getting experience at this stage.

I hate to say it but they don't appear to be seething the world on fire do they. Arguably Licah seems to be trusted/used the most.

From what I've read, the Watford manager rates Weimann, he's been saying that Weimann's trying too hard to score, just needs to relax a bit...

Weimann scored at the weekend didn't he?

Reading a Burnley forum, they just cannot see anything in the Fonz. Thing he was great in the europa a couple of seasons back, but seems to have not kicked on at all, and rarely looks a genuine threat. He needs a turning point to get him going.

Bannan IMO will be getting good experience just being in a physical league for a few weeks.

Hogg - not good enough IMO, and Osbourne.... whoever gave him that deal should be,..... oh it was him.

Maybe Fonzie just doesnt like playing with crap players. Or maybe he's missing his mum. His goalscoring record for Villa is impressive enough for me not to be concerned what Reading fans think.

Mackay was raving about Weimann's quality when he first got there.
He may not be banging them in, but he may be contributing a lot more to their overall play.

Stephen Ireland may or may not finally get a run out tonight?

Ireland came on for the last half hour or so for the Barcodes at Blackpool.

Bannan and Delfouneso left benched for Leeds last night and Burnley today, respectively.
Weimann came on in the 53rd minute of Watford's win against Barnsley.

All three of those teams, Leeds, Burnley and Watford are chasing the play-offs but only Leeds have a realistic chance and they are fading. I wonder should we have let them have Delph back for a couple of months, he's disappeared from our bench lately. Then again, would we have wanted him to help get Leeds up...

Watching the Pompey highlights and Hogg put in a sublime ball over the top for Kanu.
