There you go, with your insistence on wondering things none of us care about.

What would the reaction from the self-appointed World's Greatest Fans have been if Hodgson had declared he wanted to ship Torres out and spend £35m on Carroll?  He wouldn't have made it out of Merseyside alive.

Ouch.  No need for that!

He might not be the player he once was, but that hit the target with stunning accuracy.

For the life of me I still can't understand why any fan or pundit could view this as anything other than a terrible deadline day for Liverpool. Suarez aside (a deal which was largely complete before today anyway), the Carroll purchase was a desperate, insanely expensive gamble and it's only the price that's made the fans tolerate it. The player himself is nowhere near special enough for the deal they've made.

what would their reaction be if Newcastle had put in a bid for Torres of £13m plus Carroll

Who's going to get more goals between now and the end of the season?

Torres, Bent or Carroll.

Bent for me.

Candle sales would have been at their highest since World War 2.

It wouldn't be so bad if he hadn't lived/worked here for a year or two.  Must be down to that strong Irish accent of his.

Jesus, cant see him getting the traditional warm Anfield welcome for returning ex-players after that comment
