Hopefully now newcastle sign Ireland (although it isn't looking likely) and the loss of Carrol will be eased with signing a true professional in Ireland.

According to Sky - Carroll has handed in transfer request, Liverpool have had a bid accepted by the Toon and a man with a bad haircut is on his way to discuss his deal.

Houllier has had an excellent transfer window - getting his deals done early, professionally and for relatively sane amounts.

Will he even pass a medical? I thought he was about to see a specialist about the injury he has currently that doesn't heal, although the injury does seem to coincinding with Pardew coming in.

Liverpool are apparently sending a car to Blackpool to pick up Charlie Adam. Can't he drive then? Lets hope he does become the next Sidwell now.

I bet you, whilst the Bent deal gets rounded up to £24M, the price of Carroll will come down by the pundits from the £40M to "£25m" to make it sound a good deal.
