Slightly different though in that Rooney didn't have his eye on playing for a much better club than the one he is currently at.

Of course they were.

Which is why initial reports had it that the bid was accepted as £35 mill. Then it wasn't. Then it is. After a transfer request from Carroll...who is already halfway to Liverpool.
