To be fair thats a great move for andy carroll. Liverpool is the only city in europe where his hairstyle is still fashionable.

Carrol is unproven over a sustained period (not his fault for being that age) so this would be a massive gamble. He would find himself under enormous pressure if this move goes through and I would question whether he can handle it. His private life has been a bit of a mess recently which could suggest that he's either a bit thick or Barton-esque. Either way the weight of expectation might be just a bit too much for somebody at his stage of career and he'd be better off staying put for a couple of years and letting Kevin Nolan help sort out his private life. In my view this move could ruin him.

Well respected sources say Andy Carroll has made his way to the North West

only to be recalled when he reaches Huddersfield on M6

Who has said a fee of £35m has been agreed for Carroll? As I understand that is the price Newcastle are asking, who said it has been offered?

The BBC, Mail, Guardian (for balance) etc etc.

If Liverpool did have a bid accepted for Carroll would he pass a medical? He has been injured for weeks  hasn't he?

2 words.  Stewart Downing.

as much money as it is, and obviously 35 mill is a lot,
i still bet there is not many Newcastle fans very happy about it, its players that make football teams not money in the bank,

where do they go even with that sort of cash to replace Carrol ?
bearing in mind they will have the same problems as we have in atrracting players, ie no champs league, no  recent winning history, not London

Isn't he still on police bail?  I thought part of the deal was that he had to live with Kevin Nolan?? Does that mean Liverpool will have to sign Nolan as well??

Blimey it looks like it is going through, £35m is crazy money but that is the state of football at the moment. He is a good footballer but never worth that much, the jawdees will be marching on St. James's soon like orcs!

Carroll is a decent player but it's a huge risk on a young player, playing for his hometown club is one thing but will he be a success at anfield with such a huge pricetag?

I listened to Sunday Supplement on Jan 23rd when that wanker Holt was on. He called Randy buying that proven PL goalscorer Bent (it's fucking £18 million, not £24 million you twats) a panic buy. I'm sure however, all of that lot will pull a Holloway, and say how King kenny buying Carroll for £35 million shrewd business on deadline day.

"If Darren Bent is worth £24m and Carroll £35m what on earth is Howard Webb worth? Might be time for Fergie to cash in?"

The world has gone mad.

Andy fucking Carroll? £35M?! Is this real life?! How can you comprehend such madness?

-Score loads of goals in the Championship
-Newcastle get promoted
-Score 10 goals in the Premier League
-Valued at more than £30M

Delfouneso's starting price must be atleast £20M...
