Not sure if this was posted at the begginning of the week, but an interesting listen from Guardian Podcast.

Fairly early on in the Podcast, Phillipe Auclair, who is World Football Magazines French 'expert' and close to GH, mentions no more French targets this window, but GH has two targets lined up for June/July.

I wouldn't say it is writ in stone. They just appear to provide independent, understandable and comprehensive explanations on some complex football finance issues.

Perhaps the issue you have is that their findings don't suit your arguments?

I'm always happy to read better or more authoritative sources of factual information if you know of any.

That's a good one coming from you. Have you found an "independent, understandable and comprehensive" explanation of those Spurs wages yet?

Yes Dave. That same website shows the 2008/2009 wages we were discussing as £61m for both teams, when compared on a like for like basis

Spurs have bid Llorente, he is class, I'd love him.

He's probably going to Real in the Summer, hence the loan for Adebayor rather than the permanent move(they'll sign him permanently if it turns out they're not getting Llorente, which they will). Therefore, Spurs really will be laughed out of town, Llorente's going nowhere near them.

Really funny on the spurs forum, they are screwing because they haven't signed Suarez.

Can you provide a league table to prove that?

Spurs really are amazing. They finish fourth and suddenly they're Inter Milan.

I wish they went down when they looked like they were.

If they finish fifth, Van der Vaart won't be particularly gruntled.

I think Llorente would be shot if he joined Real Madrid. They might sell him to Spurs to avoid selling him to Real. Hope not though cos he's ace.

As folk have mentioned Bilbao, Javi Martinez would be a superb signing for us.
