West Ham have turned down 10 for Parker from Spurs. Newcastle have turned down 23 fro Carroll from Spurs. Have to say the latter I think they are mad, and should have taken the cash. Carroll is good, but think he will be found out more as defenders work out how to play him, ala Duncan Ferguson.

Sky Sports Spurs is going to be fun tomorrow. At least Andy Burton won't be sat with that smug ass look on his face by the presenters and then pretending Harry is ringning him just at the moment they want to talk to him. I have missed the last few deadline days being at work, but am in bed with the flu and have been for the last 2 days, so may subject myself to SSN for the first time in a while for the day. It will be torture won't it!?

23m for a striker who has had one decent season in the championship and half a good one in the top flight is absolutely insane money.

QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt believes he could soon be on his way to Manchester United.

The playmaker has caught the eye this season in helping Rangers to the top of the Championship table after struggling to make the grade during a three-year stint at Tottenham.

Taarabt is not short on confidence, though, and has already set his sights on returning at the very summit.

He claims a switch to Premier League leaders Manchester United could be on the cards, with discussions regarding a deal already opened.

"Nothing is official yet," Taarabt said in The People.

"I had discussions about my transfer after my performance against Coventry.

"I'm ready to go to Manchester United.

"We'll see later in the season, as I'm hoping to reach the promotion target with my current club QPR.

"I like England, so I am not against the idea of continuing my career at United."
