Why is there an obsession with players wages and how much we are saving??? I don't give a f*ck....it's what happens on the pitch. I'm sure Randy and the board know what they are doing with the wages. Plus it's all guesswork how much x player is on.

because the wage bill was 80-odd % of the turnover. unsustainable. and in the end any shortfall will hit the fans. people don't want to cover it in next year's season ticket nor do they want see a leeds united or pompey-esque fire sale and relegation.

A centre-half could be coming in, according to Ian Taylor.

Why would we need a centre half when we have 4 decent players for that position already?
I hear Coventry are prepared to take less than a million now for Westwood, rather than lose him on a free.

What if he's better than what we've already got?

Better than our centre-backs? Has Beckenbauer come out of retirement?

as much as I've been impressed with Collins and Dunne of late, if we could get Samba or better in place of one of those I'd be all over it. It's not like we're watertight at the back is it?

I doubt we need to sign a centre half at this stage, dunne has regained his place and if we need cover it's at left back and keeper but I will be more than happy if Bradley is our last signing.

Goodness Toronto, I bet you are one of those who always asks for more turkey on his Xmas dinner too!

Excellent work randy, houllier and Faulkner- well done to all.

Blackburn with Samba in defence didn't exactly cover themselves in glory!

Good to see that Ireland is off and his wages, plus Osbourne is moving on... we are slowly getting the wages down and Bradley shouldn't be too much. Nice bit of business especially on a sunday, now we just need to get rid of warnock!

He's only one player. I don't think he was individually responsible for any of the goals was he?

I thought Samba played well, although I'm not sure who was supposed to be picking up Clarke from corners, if it was him he didn't do too well.

Rather stick with Collins and Dunne then get samba in!!!

After all what GH has done in January, Samba would not fall into the catagory and quality of signings he's made this month!!!!!!

I dont rate Samba as even as good as Collins or Dunne, never mind better.
