Sorry if I rattled your cage and you got jealous cos' I played football at a high level and you didn't. And I'm going out to late lunches with 8/10's whilst you're clearing up your son's lego and trying to teach someone who probably is half your age (you're in your 40's? lol) an 'E-Lesson'.
...

That's classic.

Believe me, Davies made more than one mistake. The man was a complete and utter liability. I never, ever felt secure with him in the side, not even during the partnership with Laursen really.

Either comedy gold or the ramblings of a buffoon. Either way, thanks, you've made my afternoon much brighter.

Can you stop making out if I'm saying what you're saying? Thanks

Dunne's only proven that for what, the last... 2 or 3 games? After falling out with the manager too lets not forget.

Some people clearly have forgotton how good Davies was and it just suits them to blame him for why we lost against Rapid Vienna whilst completely ignoring all the Collins and Davies fuck ups and just remembering them for there 'last ditch' blocks.

Would be interesting to find out how many people on here have played football at a high level. No doubt the people claiming Davies is 'shit' without mentioning why he's shit are the people who didn't even get picked for there primary school's u10's B Team and gave up on playing ever since.
that Rapid Vienna Incident tells you everything you need to know about Davies, he paniced like fuck in a situation where he could've simply put it out for a throw in or booted it up field, the fact he thought it'd be a good idea to do what he did just shows he has'nt got the cleverness or calmness to succeed at this level, he's a poor defender and i've got no problem with taking that lots money for him, funny how only Blues and Leicester were interested even though the price was so low
So Davies kicking the ball out for a corner in a panic is the reason why we lost to Rapid Vienna? This is what I'm saying about some people making him a scapegoat. Is he to blame also for the WHOLE team not being able to defend a corner?

Just for starters I'll go with... Dunne's Roberto Carlos act in the cup final, his OG against Sunderland, Collins making an awful attempt at trying to head the ball against the blose.

People are getting confused. I like Collins and Dunne. They did great last season. This season however they've been a joke (although they're getting better). All I'm saying is that past merits don't make them immune from harsh criticism and not being dropped. The in-form players should always be in the team.

I seem to remember some really scathing, and justified, criticism on here (for Dunne in particular) earlier in the season. And wasn't he also dropped at one point?

All defenders make mistakes, Situ. Davies made his in almost every minute of the game, though. He kept on getting himself in poor positions, had appalling distribution which puts the side under pressure, reacted to that pressure with all the calm of an obssessive compulsive playing hopscotch. The fact is that with some it's a question of form, with others it's a question of ability, and I have to say that he has never struck me as a defender who could help us reach any heights in the game, and he's gone backwards from that ever since.

My only concern about Davies is it's another player out which reduces the squad numbers again - we are now down on the numbers from the start of January - I thought GH intended to increase the squad this month? We saw what happened when we had the injuries earlier this season. Why can't we build the squad numbers up to cope with injuries and suspensions? Why help Blose out - they are still a relegation rival. Can't believe how we rollover in these situations - especially to that shower!

I think since the turn of the year Collins and Dunne have both been very good. Davies was not universally loved at Leicester from what I read and struggled a bit getting into the swing of things. Blues have given us some money and taken another wage off the bill of a player who has not had a look in for as long as I can remember.

Absolutely not, but we'd just gone 1-0 up and he did that at a time when we just needed to be calm, he was the catalyst for our collapse in that game

This has been a very good transfer window so far, good luck to Davies. Why oh why are SALIFOU and OSBOURNE and for that matter Warnock and Ireland still here cluttering the place up. I also see that CAREW has had a go at Ged now he is away.
