He's Babayaro's uncle. He used to take him to youth football but they were one short so he joined in.

Blose average was 29 before this signing. Its now 57.

All this nonsense about CD is a joke. He played very well for us in a partnership with Laursen even putting off surgery on his shoulder to play. The club havent played him in a league game for a very long time because if they do he triggers a clause in his contract meaning he has to be given another more lucrative deal. We are letting go very good player who just needs a run of games to establish himself again.

No he's not shit. People have short memories.

If he does well for them and they stay up, this place will go into meltdown wondering why we sold him to them. Their chances of survival are looking better now.

Can't agree I'm afraid. Even among Villa defenders I've never seen one who seemed to hate the ball as much as Curtis Davies, absolutely hammering it as far away from him as possible at every opportunity. No calm, no mentality, no positional sense, no technique - all he's got going for him really is physique and I'm sorry, that's not enough at our level. Maybe he'll improve his mentality and become a decent stopper-defender, but we have enough of those and we need to improve our playing out from the back, and Curtis Davies will never help with that.

We have'nt played him in a league game for a long time because he's a liability that does'nt deserve a lucrative new contract

Surely for that price, as he was obviously highly rated by O'Neill, he should have been first choice?

He was first choice and did well, well enough to get called into the England squad. He then got injured at the same time as Laursen's knees finally gave out and we brought in two new CBs who performed even better.

I'm not sure why he hasn't been able to step back up since his injury.
