I reckon Houllier might turn out to be the polar opposite and. quite rightly, rotate the squad.

I hope he's not the polar opposite and becomes a 'tinker man'.  I think somewhere in between is what works best.

We are paying Davies too much for a 4th choice centre back and he's less reliable than the those in front of him. I'm sure he was one of the ones that the club had in my mind when they talked about trimming the wage bill but we couldn't shift him in the summer.
All very well Chris, but hadn't O'Neill shunned him prior to the wages situation?

He was injured, by the time he came back we'd already started looking at the wage bill as we didn't sign anyone in the January and O'Neill confirmed that he had to sell before he could buy.

Yes John, wouldn't want him messing about TOO much, but I think he has a better sense of when players need a rest, Albrighton being a case in point.

If O'Neill was managing him (stretch of the imagination as O'Neill would never consider him for a run of games in the first place) he'd play him in every minute of every game.

My God Lplop fans are deluded one on SSN saying why would Torres leave now when KK is turning it around implying they were on a par with Chelsea. They really do believe their own hype.I hope Torres fooks off on Monday leaving them no time to find a replacement

If we shift Davies then it's only Warnock, Beye and unfortunately Ireland left to go.

Presume Pires and Nige will leave on frees.

And I could see Luke Young and Friedel leaving as well...

While we're on the subject.

Who agreed to sign Ireland?

Yep.  Played 30+ games in 08/09.

Martins has signed for SHA on loan. Good signing for them, they're desperate for some pace uptop

Pretty much, played most of 08-09, got injured at the start of last season when he had his shoulder op and Dunne and Collins came in.

I wouldn't want davies to go to The Shit. Just in case he's good for them. Wouldn't gall that he came from us, just hate any signings they make, any managerial appointments, and take overs at the top, just in case they turn out good.

As for Larsson? Not fussed.
