I'd prefer to spend £10m on Honda than £5m on Adams. People have even described Adams as a stop gap until Bannan/Delph/Gardner are ready. That's an expensive stop gap, especially as we already have petrov and NRC in the squad.

Whereas Honda (from his world cup performances) seems to be the real deal. There's also the commercial benefits associated with the deal, plus the fact I reckon we'd get most the money back if he failed to settle.

What's the basis of the Rumours? Is it that article about villa sending someone to the Asian Cup?
