I would look elsewhere now as it's pretty clear Liverpool are the team he wants to sell to to save face after saying last week no way will he sell to Aston villa.

I'd say that's all the more reason to keep after him as it would add excellent comedy value if we did get him after all the shit Holloway has come out with.

Blackpool accept a bid from us and he resigns in protest = dream scenario.

And that's from someone not overly bothered about him as a player!

I still like Holloway but he does seem to be falling into the perma tan Phil Brown trick of trying to be on the tele every five minutes making stupid comments.

Adam will go to Liverpool though I think so I really can't see us signing him now.

Big story in the Irish version of the Mail on Sunday that Mancini had blocked the Given- Brad swap deal due to Joe Harts dip in form.
Not suprised he should have pushed Ashley's shot away from the goal/out for a corner or caught it and he has made a couple of other mistakes recently.....Given may be back in the team for the next game

That's a bit harsh, I thought he did well to get anything on Young's shot. A lot of keepers it would have gone straight in.

Not in my opinion im afraid mate the shot was taken from a fair way out, no deflections, no one in his line of sight, it wasnt hit that hard and at a good height for him......
He should have done alot better with Ashs' shot to be fair. Thankfully he didn't though.
The article did mention Brads financial predicament in the U.S. and that he could be banking on some of that oil money to bail him out.

You do wonder if Brad's financial position might drive him toward one last move?

I read that Article, if it only costs 20k a year to run, what's the problem if he is on 40k a week?
I think it said it cost £20k or $20k to get a kid in the college for a year ?

Hart was at full stretch fior Ash's shot, he just about got his finger tips to it so had no real control over where it went - it was just a really well placed effort.

Yeah - no real blame attached to Hart IMO.

Hart was at fault badly I thought for the goal. Might have been stretched a little, but I would expect a stronger hand.

As a keeper myself i thought Hart was poor for the goal

It wasn't a powerful shot and he got enough on it for him to be able to parry it out of danger, i.e towards the corner flag direction

Back to transfers, we were tenuously linked with Honda from Japan a few pages back. Financially it must make sense at some point to look at the commercial gains of such a signing, especially at the right age and profile in their native countries.

I have mentioned this recently. Honda is a very good player. He is not even going to be an expensive purchase. He would attract a massive eastern audience , which would mean a very obvious financial input to our club. I am sure Lerner with a team of experienced market "players" can see this as a win , win situation ????

Not sure how they work it out, but Transfer Market says his market value is £8.8m (they say that Salifou is worth £500k, make of that what you will).

What do you mean you don't understand Korean? Ok then - for the uneducated members of the forum -
