Two premier loans allowed in (Walker) Sidwell is sold. (Fulham) Carew on loan. (Stoke) so we can still loan another premier player. And at least two "foreign" players or players from another division or league .......

Bent was a decent bit of business, but we need at least another defender (or two).

Good as he is, he can't do it alone and if we defend as we have for most of the season his impact will be minimal. Unless we're expecting Bent to score 2/3 every game.

Houllier says he isn't interested in Figueroa, I very much hope he isn't interested in Samba, I agree with the others.

Why can't we get rid of the likes of Salifou and Osbourne who are never going to make it? I suppose it's because nobody wants them as their ability doesn't match the wages they are probably on so hopefully they can be moved on when their contracts expire. It beggars belief that they have contracts.

Purely speculating then...

So that is Bouma, Harewood, Sidwell, Shorey, Carew, Salifou, Milner - about 260k a week maybe off the wage bill? With Ireland, Beye, Osborne, Reo Coker and Freidel likely to be by the end of the summer too. Another 200k - 450k a week ish overall -

Ins - Makoun maybe 40k and Bent 70k ish so 110k back on. Get 3-4 more in the time between now and the end of the summer, even on 50k a week we will have cut the wage bil by 4 million a year at least players wise.
