Is it realy pointless? Just getting Davies, Warnock & Beye off the wage bill, even if it's just till the end of the season would free up some serious cash.

3 players on say £45k a week for the remaining 17 weeks = £2.3 million.

Not to be sniffed at, even by a rich 'moneybags' club like us(!).

Yes it would be better to get a fee as well, but if there are no takers for a permanent deal they're better off going out on loan.
