Interesting one, that, especially given his absence today (I think he usually starts for them, doesn't he?). Not earth-shatteringly great, but a good player none-the-less.

I doubt he's a priority! I agree we don't need another winger, but a 'wide midfielder' wouldn't hurt. A bit more solidity one one side, with a winger on the other - like Man Utd when they had Beckham and Giggs.

Larsson has never pushed on, had great potential at one time but McLeish knows he'll never be good enough, hence Bentley on loan, wouldn't want him here.

That said, I reckon it's probably more bullshit.

Petulant, little, whiney fanny. Has no pace, never takes defenders on and taking decent corners is hardly enough of a reason to sign him.

They've got Bentley on loan as they expect Larsson to leave. They'd happily keep him if they thought there was any chance of him signing a new contract.

He would be alright as a squad player, especially assuming Ashley goes. It's possible too that Houlligan has leaked our 'interest' in Larsson to the press to try to persuade Blackpool to lower their asking price for Charlie Adam.

Larsson's a good player, excellent delivery. On a free I'd take him but he's certainly not a priority.
