I liked Ian Holloway. Now I'm not so sure. That said I'm happy for him to push the price up as I don't want us to sign Charlie Adam. Give one of our younger players a shot - for free - and avoid the Scottish Steve Sidwell. Just remember how as the cock of a small dung heap Sidwell was awesome for Reading. See also Curcic and Kinsella. Great for smaller clubs but not so good at medium to large clubs. It's a story old as time.

We have to invest this window. 2 or 3 quality players (Defensive mid, left back, striker) on top of Kyle Walker is what we need.

I think Randy will cough up the money for that. Based on the more reliable rumours and ITK suppositions the money is there for that. It is just that we needed to get rid of non-players who were passengers on the good ship Villa.

I know, but we weren't the only club doing it.  Just paying the going rate like everyone else.  You make it sound like MON gave everyone 20k a week extra for a laugh.
