holloway has shown lack of respect to other clubs with his comments - he has gone down in my estimation of him.

ian holloway is no brian clough and seems to love the sound of his own voice - can see now why he has been sacked so many times!

I don't mind Holloway. What he's doing now is desperately trying to hang on to his key player for the rest of the season, and trying to drive up his fee at the same time, knowing full well what the eventual outcome is going to be (whether it's to us or whoever).

But I don't like this: that in his post-match interview after the Southampton FA Cup match he bemoaned the lack of respect Saints fans showed his team by singing songs like "Premier League, 'avin' a larf...". Then he publicly rubbishes pretty much every PL club outside the top 4. Where's the respect there?

Very true.

And off-topic but on the subject of disrespect, I cannot stand it when a Premier League player scores against a team a division or so below them, then the player does the "finger on lips" or "ear-cupping" celebration.

an amusing fella, but he is a bit of a hypocrite... his little rant about rooney and the likes, would have been fine, had he not done the dirty on plymouth argyle...

A few of my mates are Argyle fans and hate him. To be honest I thought he was quite refreshing up until the Southampton game and then this dig at us and pretty much the rest of the division.

And it's started, remember when Blackpool got promoted and everybody was on here saying what a breath of fresh air Holloway would be and Dave W (I think)said that as soon as he said anything that might be deemed a dig at Villa people would soon change their minds.

Not me, I bloody love him, wish there were more managers like him and Phil Brown (yep, still like him), Mccarthy and Warnock who actually spoke their mind and didn't care who they pissed off. Imagine a Premiership full of the tedious, monotone cliched shite from the likes of Dalglish, Houllier etc.

I don't buy the speaks his mind defence, Jeremy Clarkson speaks his mind but it doesn't stop him being an obnoxious areshole.

Holloway isn't in that league but his remarks after Southampton fans took the piss were churlish as were his threats to throw the dummy after playing a weakened team against us. Like the others you mention he's always looking to play the victim.
